Lukas Kurz is a musician (drums, keys) songwriter/composer and sound engineer based in Berlin, Germany. His field of work ranges from studio productions, music for theatre (P14 Volksbühne Berlin, Club XS/ Staatsoper Hannover, Theater an der Parkaue, Berlin) and FoH engineering to supervising editor for two book publications from Forschungszentrum Musik und Gender. He received scholarships from institutions like Musikfond e.V. and GEMA and is a founding member of the german music collective die neue leichtigkeit. He is also part of the theatre collective stand heute.

He had appearances and features on Bandcamp, radioeins, DeutschlandFunk Kultur, Flux.FM, Radio Fritz, intro magazine and the like.

The 2023 debut record by his solo project Der Frühling was praised as “synth pop gold” (Bandcamp New&Notable) and an “absolute highlight of german pop music” (Klaus Fiehe, 1LIVE).
