Lukas Kurz is a musician (drums, keys, songwriting) and sound engineer based in Berlin, Germany. His field of work ranges from studio productions, theatre (P14 Volksbühne Berlin, Club XS/ Staatsoper Hannover and Studiotheater Expo-Plaza) and FOH engineering to supervising editor for two book publications from Forschungszentrum Musik und Gender. He received scholarships from institutions like Musikfond e.V. and GEMA and is a founding member of the german music collective die neue leichtigkeit. His solo project Der Frühling is part of the dq agency roster.

As a long-time-member of berlin-based indie-rockers Leon Francis Farrow and as live-drummer for Darjeeling he played shows all over germany and had appearances and features on Bandcamp, radioeins, DeutschlandFunk Kultur, Flux.FM, Radio Fritz, plattentests.de, intro magazine and the like.

He believes that, especially in times of endless (digital) possibilities, it is important to have the courage to make decisions during the process of creating music in order to achieve something unique.
